Ntandi pygmies are found in western Uganda in the ends of Bundibugyo district near Ntandi village. This is about 5km further along the road where you will have a unique cultural experience at the heritage site.
Like many other pygmies, these also used to live in the forest as hunters and fruit gatherers, spending their lives feeding on straw berries in the jungle.
These indigenous people are believed to have occupied the dense tropical rain forest around Semuliki National Park. The forest receives the highest amount of rainfall throughout the year and is also part of the great Ituri forest that stretches from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) along the border with Uganda in the west.
